How it works

1. At the beginning of your combat phase, Rionya triggers, creating at least one token copy of Evangel of Heliod with haste.
2. When the Evangel of Heliod token enters the battlefield, it triggers, creating at least four 1/1 Soldier creature tokens.
3. Activate Time Sieve by tapping it, sacrificing the Evangel of Heliod token and the Soldier tokens, causing you to take an extra turn after this one.
4. Repeat each turn.

This clever setup turns a modest combat trigger into an endless stream of time by transforming the battlefield's identity. Encroaching Mycosynth does the heavy lifting behind the scenes, turning all your nonland permanents into artifacts so that anything you create can feed Time Sieve's hunger. Once combat arrives, Rionya, Fire Dancer steps in to manufacture a fresh copy of Evangel of Heliod, whose devotion-fueled entry fills your board with a flood of Soldier tokens. You can then tap Time Sieve, sacrifice that Evangel of Heliod token along with its newly minted army, and immediately seize an extra turn to repeat the entire cycle.
