How it works
- Cast Army of the Damned by paying 5, creating thirteen 2/2 Zombie creature tokens that are artifacts due to Mycosynth Lattice.
- At the beginning of your next upkeep, Mechanized Production triggers, creating a token copy of the artifact it is attached to, and causing you to win the game.
By laying down Encroaching Mycosynth first, you rewrite the fundamental nature of your entire deck, turning all nonland permanents and spells into artifacts. This subtle yet sweeping static ability means that when you cast Army of the Damned, its massive hoard of thirteen Zombie tokens enters the battlefield as artifacts rather than mere flesh and bone. You then attach Mechanized Production to one of these newly minted metallic zombies; thanks to Encroaching Mycosynth making everything an artifact, Mechanized Production can legally enchant any of them. At the beginning of your next upkeep, Mechanized Production triggers to duplicate its enchanted target and instantly satisfies its alternative win condition, scanning the board and spotting a legion of artifacts sharing the exact same name.
