How it works

1. Activate Fain's third ability by tapping it and sacrificing an creature, which is an artifact due to Encroaching Mycosynth.
2. When the creature dies, Dross Scorpion triggers, untapping Fain.
3. Resolve the Fain ability from step 1, creating a 2/1 Inkling creature token that is an artifact due to Encroaching Mycosynth.
4. Repeat.

Encroaching Mycosynth is the clever linchpin of this entire operation, turning every nonland permanent you control—and every creature that hits your board—into an artifact. With that blanket transformation in place, Fain, the Broker can feed any nonland creature to its artifact-sacrifice ability, and the resulting death instantly fires off Dross Scorpion's trigger. That trigger untaps Fain so it can immediately pay its cost again, while Fain's own resolution replaces the fallen creature with a fresh, flying Inkling token. It's a gorgeous little loop of continuous recycling, trading your permanent base for infinite sacrifice, entry, and exit triggers on command.
