How it works

1. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Fang of Shigeki, adding .
2. When Fang of Shigeki dies, Mortuary and Ashiok's Reaper trigger.
3. Resolve the Mortuary trigger, putting Fang of Shigeki on top of your library from your graveyard.
4. Resolve the Ashiok's Render trigger, causing you to draw Fang of Shigeki from your library.
5. Cast Fang of Shigeki by paying .
6. Repeat.

This ingenious loop turns a humble deathtouch creature into a self-sustaining engine by marrying creature recycling with enchantment-based card draw. When you sacrifice Fang of Shigeki to Phyrexian Altar for green mana, Mortuary quietly catches the creature as it hits the graveyard, neatly placing it back on top of your library. Simultaneously, Ashiok's Reaper acts as your engine's watchful eye, capitalizing on the enchantment's presence to instantly draw you right back to the Fang of Shigeki you just parted with. Because the mana generated by the Altar pays the exact cost to recast the creature, you can endlessly repeat the cycle to generate infinite sacrifices, enters-the-battlefield triggers, and storm count.
