How it works

1. Activate Wild Cantor by sacrificing it.
2. When Wild Cantor dies, Mortuary and Zulaport Cutthroat trigger.
3. Resolve the Mortuary trigger, putting Wild Cantor from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
4. Resolve the Zulaport Cutthroat trigger, causing you to gain 1 life and each opponent to lose 1 life.
5. Cast Wild Cantor from the top of your library by paying 1 life.
6. Repeat.

This clever loop turns the top of your library into an endless engine of life and mana. With Bolas's Citadel allowing you to bypass mana costs by paying life instead, you can repeatedly cast Wild Cantor straight off your library. Each time you sacrifice the Cantor for colored mana, Mortuary catches it on the way to the graveyard and immediately places it right back onto the top of your library for the Citadel to play again. Meanwhile, Zulaport Cutthroat watches every sacrifice and death to drain your opponents' life totals dry while effortlessly recovering the life you spent to cast the spell.
