How it works
- Activate Myr Scrapling by sacrificing it.
- When Myr Scrapling dies, Mortuary and Zulaport Cutthroat trigger.
- Resolve the Mortuary trigger, putting Myr Scrapling from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
- Resolve the Zulaport Cutthroat trigger, causing you to gain 1 life and each opponent to lose 1 life.
- Resolve the Myr Scrapling ability.
- Cast Myr Scrapling from the top of your library by paying 1 life.
- Repeat.
This clever loop turns a humble automaton into an endless engine of life drain. By utilizing Bolas's Citadel, you can bypass traditional mana costs entirely to recast Myr Scrapling straight from the top of your library for a mere 1 life, a cost immediately offset by the lifegain provided by Zulaport Cutthroat. Whenever Myr Scrapling meets its end, Mortuary steps in to neatly recycle it right back to the top of your library, allowing you to repeat the process indefinitely for an overwhelming storm count and infinite drains.
