How it works

1. Activate a land by tapping it, adding at least .
2. Mirari's Wake triggers, adding .
3. Activate Wirewood Lodge's second ability by paying and tapping it, untapping Argothian Elder.
4. Activate Argothian Elder by tapping it, untapping the land tapped in step 1 and Wirewood Lodge.
5. Repeat.

This classic green combo relies on Argothian Elder and Wirewood Lodge to create a self-sustaining loop of untaps, since the Elder can target Wirewood Lodge and a mana-producing land with its tap ability. Because Wirewood Lodge can itself be untappable by paying green mana to untap the Elder (an Elf), and Argothian Elder repays that favor by untapping the Lodge alongside your land, the engine loops endlessly. Meanwhile, Mirari's Wake quietly supercharges the entire operation by doubling the mana yield of your lands every time they are tapped, turning a simple mechanical untap cycle into a massive reservoir of infinite mana.
