How it works

1. Activate Rowan by tapping it, reducing the cost of all black and/or red spells you cast this turn by at least 4.
2. Cast Searing Touch with buyback by paying due to Rowan's ability, targeting any applicable target.
3. Storm-Kiln Artist triggers, creating a Treasure artifact token.
4. Resolve Searing Touch, dealing 1 damage to any target and returning Searing Touch to your hand.
5. Activate the Treasure by tapping and sacrificing it, adding .
6. Repeat from step 2.

By tapping Rowan, Scion of War to discount your red and black spells based on life lost, you set the stage for Searing Touch to become remarkably cheap to cast. When you cast Searing Touch with its buyback cost, Storm-Kiln Artist triggers its magecraft ability to generate a Treasure token each time. Cracking that very Treasure provides the red mana needed to recast the spell, while Storm-Kiln Artist's static pump grows larger with each artifact created, looping seamlessly into infinite damage and storm.
