How it works
Activate Rowan by tapping it, reducing the cost of all black and/or red spells you cast this turn by at least 3.
Cast Seething Anger with buyback by paying due to Rowan's ability, targeting any creature.
Sedgemoor Witch triggers, creating a 1/1 Pest creature token.
Resolve Seething Anger, giving target creature +3/+0 until end of turn and returning Seething Anger to your hand.
Activate Thermopod's second ability by sacrificing the Pest, adding .
When the Pest dies, it triggers, causing you to gain 1 life.
Repeat from step 2.
This clever loop turns minor life fluctuations into an unstoppable engine of endless mana and storm count. It all hinges on Rowan, Scion of War, whose activated ability slashes the cost of your red spells based on the life you've lost, allowing you to cast Seething Anger for a mere single red mana. As you repeatedly cast and buy back Seething Anger, Sedgemoor Witch watches every spell with its magecraft ability to flood your board with Pest tokens. You then feed those very tokens to Thermopod, whose sacrifice ability turns them back into red mana while also triggering the Pests' built-in lifegain to offset your costs and fuel the next iteration.
