How it works

1. Activate Rowan by tapping it, reducing the cost of all black and/or red spells you cast this turn by at least 4.
2. Cast Lab Rats with buyback by paying due to Rowan's ability.
3. Storm-Kiln Artist triggers, creating a Treasure artifact token.
4. Resolve Lab Rats, creating a 1/1 Rat creature token and returning Lab Rats to your hand.
5. Activate the Treasure by tapping and sacrificing it, adding .
6. Repeat from step 2.

This elegant loop turns life payment into a self-sustaining storm of vermin and glistening gold. By tapping Rowan, Scion of War, you prep the battlefield so that your black and red spells become drastically cheaper based on life lost, paving the way for a heavily discounted spell. You then cast Lab Rats with its buyback cost, which triggers Storm-Kiln Artist's magecraft ability to mint a fresh Treasure token each time. Sacrificing that very Treasure refunds the black mana needed to cast Lab Rats again, letting you repeat the entire cycle to flood the board with endless rats and artifacts while driving your storm count through the roof.
