How it works

1. Activate Treasonous Ogre by paying life.
2. Repeat step 1 as desired.
3. Activate Rowan by tapping it, reducing the cost of all black and/or red spells you cast this turn.
4. Cast a copy of Exsanguinate, choosing for X to equal the amount of life you've lost this turn, but paying a total of due to Rowan.
5. Resolve Exsanguinate, causing each opponent to lose X life, and you to gain life equal to the life lost this way.

This loop turns self-inflicted pain into an overwhelming wave of life drain by leaning on the life-payment engine of Treasonous Ogre to fuel both your mana pool and Rowan, Scion of War's cost reduction. Because Treasonous Ogre lets you freely exchange life for red mana, you can rapidly drive your life loss total sky-high, which in turn feeds directly into Rowan, Scion of War to discount your black and red spells by a massive margin. With those costs slashed to the bone, you cast the Stensian Sanguinist // Exsanguinate adventure/spell side to drain out the entire table, translating the life you lost to fuel the Ogre into a devastating loss of life for your opponents while simultaneously padding your own total.
