How it works

1. Cast Diamond Lion by paying 2.
2. When Diamond Lion enters, Sai of the Shinobi triggers, attaching itself to Diamond Lion.
3. Activate Diamond Lion by tapping it, sacrificing it and discarding your hand, adding three mana of any color.
4. When Diamond Lion dies, Koll triggers, returning Diamond Lion from your graveyard to your hand.
5. Repeat.

This loop turns a seemingly modest artifact creature into a self-sustaining mana and storm engine by exploiting Koll, the Forgemaster's ability to bounce equipped creatures when they die. Because Sai of the Shinobi automatically equips itself to Diamond Lion the moment it enters the battlefield, Diamond Lion is always considered equipped, ensuring Koll immediately returns it to your hand upon death. You can then tap Diamond Lion for three mana of any color by sacrificing it and discarding your hand, using that generated mana to recast the lion and repeat the entire cycle. Meanwhile, Purphoros, Bronze-Blooded can sit safely as a non-creature enchantment while granting your loop the haste it needs, or use its ability to cheat other threats into play once you have infinite mana rolling.
