How it works

1. Cast Diamond Lion by paying 2.
2. When Diamond Lion enters, Sai of the Shinobi triggers, attaching itself to Diamond Lion.
3. Activate Diamond Lion by tapping it, sacrificing it and discarding your hand, adding three mana of any color.
4. When Diamond Lion dies, Koll triggers, returning Diamond Lion from your graveyard to your hand.
5. Repeat.

This loop is a masterclass in recycling, turning the mana-generating sacrifice of Diamond Lion into a self-sustaining engine. Because Sai of the Shinobi automatically equips itself to the Lion the moment it enters the battlefield, Diamond Lion is perpetually considered "equipped"—which is precisely what activates Koll, the Forgemaster's ability to bounce the Lion straight back to your hand upon death instead of letting it stay in the graveyard. While Akroma's Memorial doesn't actively participate in the mechanical loop itself, its presence on the battlefield ensures your entire team is protected by granting keywords like flying, vigilance, and protection from black and red while you endlessly recast and sacrifice your artifacts.
