How it works

1. Cast Diamond Lion by paying 2.
2. When Diamond Lion enters, Sai of the Shinobi triggers, attaching itself to Diamond Lion.
3. Activate Diamond Lion by tapping it, sacrificing it and discarding your hand, adding three mana of any color.
4. When Diamond Lion dies, Koll triggers, returning Diamond Lion from your graveyard to your hand.
5. Repeat.

This loop relies on a clever marriage of mana-generation and recursion, turning a simple artifact creature into an endless engine. When you cast Diamond Lion, Sai of the Shinobi immediately swoops in to equip it, making it an equipped creature so that Koll, the Forgemaster's static death-trigger condition is satisfied. You can then tap and sacrifice Diamond Lion for a swift burst of three mana; because it was equipped, Koll catches it on the way out and bounces it right back to your hand. Meanwhile, Yarus, Roar of the Old Gods rests on the battlefield, granting its haste to your overall board state while you continuously replay and sacrifice the Lion to generate infinite mana, storm count, and death triggers.
