How it works

1. Cast Diamond Lion by paying 2.
2. When Diamond Lion enters, Sai of the Shinobi triggers, attaching itself to Diamond Lion.
3. Activate Diamond Lion by tapping it, sacrificing it and discarding your hand, adding three mana of any color.
4. When Diamond Lion dies, Koll triggers, returning Diamond Lion from your graveyard to your hand.
5. Repeat.

This clever loop turns the lowly Diamond Lion into a self-returning mana engine by leveraging its status as both an artifact and a creature. Because Sai of the Shinobi automatically equips itself to the Lion upon entry, the Lion is always considered equipped, allowing Koll, the Forgemaster's triggered ability to instantly return it to your hand the moment it is sacrificed for mana. Meanwhile, Tannuk, Steadfast Second ensures that everything is moving at high speed by granting haste to your creatures and providing a potential alternative casting avenue via warp. By continuously casting, equipping, sacrificing, and bouncing the Lion, you generate an endless storm count and infinite colored mana to fuel the rest of your victory conditions.
