How it works

1. Activate Diregraf Horde by paying 1, blinking it.
2. When Diregraf Horde enters the battlefield, it and Deadeye Navigator's soulbond ability triggers.
3. Resolve the Deadeye Navigator trigger, repairing it and Diregraf Horde.
4. Resolve the Diregraf Horde trigger, creating two 2/2 Zombie creature tokens.
5. Activate Ashnod's Altar twice by sacrificing the Zombies, adding CCCC.
6. Activate Energy Refractor by paying 2, adding .
7. Repeat.

This loop is a masterclass in recycling, powered by the bond between Deadeye Navigator and Diregraf Horde to endlessly trigger the latter's arrival. Every time the Horde blinks back to the battlefield, it brings two fresh zombie tokens with it, which you immediately feed to Ashnod's Altar to fuel both your mana pool and the soulbond engine. To keep the flicker engine running, Energy Refractor steps in as your color fixer, converting that raw colorless energy into the precise blue mana needed for Deadeye Navigator's activation.
