How it works

  1. Activate Ignis by paying 1U mana, blinking it.
  2. When Ignis enters, it and Deadeye Navigator's soulbond ability trigger.
  3. Resolve the Deadeye Navigator trigger, repairing it and Ignis.
  4. Resolve the Ignis trigger, causing you to look at the top six cards of your library and put a land card from among them onto the battlefield untapped due to Horizon Explorer
  5. If you put a land onto the battlefield this way, Lotus Cobra triggers, adding U mana.
  6. Activate the land by tapping it, adding at least 1.
  7. Repeat.

This loop turns Deadeye Navigator's repeatable blink ability into an engine by pairing it directly with Ignis Scientia. Each time you blink Ignis Scientia, its entry trigger lets you dig deep into your library to drop a land, which immediately enters untapped thanks to Horizon Explorer's static ability. That entering land fuels Lotus Cobra's landfall trigger to generate the blue mana needed to pay for Deadeye Navigator's activation cost, leaving you with extra mana left over from tapping the land itself to keep the cycle going forever. Meanwhile, I've Come Up with a New Recipe! sits on the card as well, though the engine's true heart beats through this seamless dance of land drops and flicker effects.
