How it works

  1. Cast Second Sunrise by paying its mana cost
  2. Holding priority, cast Naru Meha by paying its mana cost.
  3. When Naru Meha enters, it triggers, targeting Second Sunrise.
  4. Holding priority, activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Naru Meha.
  5. Resolve the Naru Meha trigger, copying Second Sunrise
  6. Resolve the Second Sunrise copy, returning Naru Meha from your graveyard to the battlefield.
  7. Repeat from step 3.

This clever recursion loop works by using Ashnod's Altar to turn your battlefield into an infinite resource engine while Naru Meha, Master Wizard and Second Sunrise endlessly recreate each other. By sacrificing Naru Meha to the Altar for colorless mana just after she targets Second Sunrise on the stack, you ensure she is safely in the graveyard to be returned alongside any other sacrificed permanents when the copied spell resolves. This cycle refunds its own casting cost and generates extra mana with every iteration, letting you easily overwhelm the board with infinite death triggers and recursive spellcasting.
