How it works

  1. Cast Prison Break either from your hand by paying 4B mana or from your graveyard for its mayhem cost by paying 3B mana, targeting any applicable target.
  2. Holding priority, cast Naru Meha by paying its mana cost.
  3. When Naru Meha enters, it triggers, targeting Prison Break.
  4. Holding priority, activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Naru Meha.
  5. Resolve the Naru Meha trigger, copying Prison Break, with the copy targeting Naru Meha
  6. Resolve the Prison Break copy, returning Naru Meha from your graveyard to the battlefield.
  7. Repeat from step 3.

This ingenious loop is powered by a clever recursive cycle between your graveyard and the battlefield, utilizing Prison Break to repeatedly resurrect Naru Meha, Master Wizard. Each time Naru Meha re-enters, her triggered ability targets the original Prison Break on the stack, creating a copy that loops the Wizard right back out of the graveyard and back into play. Ashnod's Altar acts as the engine's catalyst, conveniently sacrificing Naru Meha to generate the colorless mana needed to keep casting her—and even generating a surplus of mana along the way.
