How it works

1. Cast Moment of Reckoning by paying its mana cost
2. Holding priority, cast Naru Meha by paying its mana cost.
3. When Naru Meha enters, it triggers, targeting Moment of Reckoning.
4. Holding priority, activate Thermopod by sacrificing Naru Meha.
5. Resolve the Naru Meha trigger, copying Moment of Reckoning
6. Resolve the Moment of Reckoning copy, returning Naru Meha from your graveyard to the battlefield.
7. Repeat from step 3.

This brilliant loop hinges on the clever recycling of Naru Meha, Master Wizard, whose entry trigger copies the sprawling modal magic of Moment of Reckoning to repeatedly resurrect her right back to the battlefield. Thermopod plays the essential sacrificial engine here, turning each iteration of Naru Meha into a fresh burst of red mana while neatly sending her back to the graveyard to be targeted by the recursion mode. Because Moment of Reckoning lets you freely mix modes, you can simultaneously strip away every nonland permanent your opponents control while keeping the engine fully fueled.
