How it works

1. Cast Lotus Petal either from your hand or from the top of your library by paying 0
2. Showdown of the Skalds triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Arcbound Reclaimer.
3. Activate Lotus Petal by tapping and sacrificing it.
4. Activate Arcbound Reclaimer by removing a +1/+1 counter from it, putting Lotus Petal from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
5. Repeat.

This clever loop relies on Crystal Skull, Isu Spyglass to peek at the top of your library and unlock the ability to cast historic spells—such as the artifact Lotus Petal—directly from your library. Once Lotus Petal is sacrificed for mana, Arcbound Reclaimer uses its activated ability to pluck the petal right back from the graveyard and place it precisely on top of your library, fueled by the +1/+1 counters provided by Showdown of the Skalds's chapters each time you recast the artifact. Because the mana cost of Lotus Petal is zero, this recursive loop generates infinite colored mana, storm count, and artifact triggers without ever running out of resources.
