How it works

1. Cast Lotus Petal either from your hand by paying 0 or from the top of your library by paying 0 life.
2. Showdown of the Skalds triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Arcbound Reclaimer.
3. Activate Lotus Petal by tapping and sacrificing it.
4. Activate Arcbound Reclaimer by removing a +1/+1 counter from it, putting Lotus Petal from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
5. Repeat.

This clever loop hinges on Gwenom, Remorseless—or in this case, the top-deck permission of Showdown of the Skalds—to continually cast Lotus Petal from the top of your library for free by paying life instead of its mana cost. Each time you cast the artifact, Showdown of the Skalds triggers its second and third lore chapters to place a +1/+1 counter onto Arcbound Reclaimer. You then sacrifice Lotus Petal for mana and use Arcbound Reclaimer's ability, fueled by those very counters, to recycle the Lotus Petal right back to the top of your library to repeat the cycle indefinitely.
