How it works

1. Activate the creature by tapping it, dealing damage to an opponent's creature.
2. The opponent's creature dies due to deathtouch, triggering the second ability granted by Thornbite Staff, untapping your creature.
3. Repeat until all opponents' creatures die.
4. Repeat each time a creature enters the battlefield under an opponent's control.

This brew turns any creature into a one-man firing squad by combining several layers of granted abilities into a lethal control loop. You begin by enchanting your creature with Lightning Prowess and Rune of Mortality, which instantly grants it both a direct-damage tap ability and the crucial deathtouch needed to turn that ping into a guaranteed kill. At the same time, Thornbite Staff equips to the creature—bolstered by Rune of Mortality's static ability to ensure the staff itself passes along deathtouch—and crucially rewards every creature's death by automatically untapping the shooter. This lets you repeatedly snipe opposing boards into oblivion, clearing out threats the moment they hit the battlefield as long as the staff's untap trigger keeps feeding the chain.
