How it works

1. Activate Devoted Druid by tapping it, creating a 1/1 Elf Warrior token.
2. Activate Devoted Druid by putting a -1/-1 counter on it, untapping it.
3. Repeat.

This classic loop transforms Devoted Druid into an unstoppable elf-making engine by granting it the tap ability of Presence of Gond. Normally, the Druid's self-untap ability using -1/-1 counters would be limited by its toughness, but here it can untap indefinitely because each iteration generates a fresh token rather than draining its life. Meanwhile, Coat of Arms turns this burgeoning army of Elf Warriors into a lethal threat by providing a massive, cascading power boost for every other creature that shares their type on the battlefield.
