How it works

1. Activate Steelfin Whale by tapping it, creating a 1/1 Elf Warrior creature token and a Food artifact token.
2. When the Food enters the battlefield, Steelfin Whale triggers, untapping itself.
3. Repeat.

By enchanting Steelfin Whale with Presence of Gond, you turn the whale into a mana-free token machine that can tap to create a 1/1 green Elf Warrior creature token. The real magic happens once Peregrin Took joins the board, as its replacement effect turns that single creature token into both the original Elf and an additional Food token. Because that new Food counts as an artifact entering under your control, Steelfin Whale's static ability immediately triggers and untaps the whale, allowing you to repeat the tap-to-create loop indefinitely. Once you have generated an endless sea of artifacts and Elfs, you can feed those extra resources right back into Peregrin Took's activated ability to draw your entire deck.
