How it works

1. Activate Megatog by sacrificing Lesser Masticore.
2. When Lesser Masticore dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it due to Curator Beastie.
3. Resolve the Megatog ability, giving it +3/+3 until end of turn.
4. Repeat.

This clever loop turns Megatog into a terrifyingly large threat while creating an infinite cycle of sacrifice and rebirth. By feeding Lesser Masticore to Megatog, you trigger the Masticore's persist ability to bring it right back to the battlefield. The secret sauce that keeps this engine running indefinitely is Curator Beastie: its static ability ensures that colorless creatures enter with two additional +1/+1 counters, instantly neutralizing the -1/+1 counter that persist would normally leave behind and letting you repeat the sacrifice over and over again.
