How it works

2. When Lesser Masticore dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it due to Curator Beastie.
3. Repeat.

This clever loop transforms Lesser Masticore into a renewable energy source by leveraging the persistent artifact-sacrificing power of Krark-Clan Ironworks. Because Curator Beastie passively grants an extra two +1/+1 counters to entering colorless creatures, it completely neutralizes Lesser Masticore's drawback, turning its persist trigger into an instant ticket back to the battlefield with a positive net of counters rather than a -1/-1 penalty. Each cycle through the Ironworks yields more mana than it costs to reset the loop, continuously churning out infinite sacrifice, death, and creature triggers while flooding your board with colorless mana.
