How it works

1. Activate Krark-Clan Ironworks by sacrificing Lesser Masticore.
2. When Lesser Masticore dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
3. When Lesser Masticore enters, Mm'menon triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Lesser Masticore.
4. Repeat.

This ingenious loop turns Lesser Masticore into a self-sustaining engine by abusing the interaction between its persist mechanic and Mm'menon, Uthros Exile's triggered ability. Whenever you sacrifice Lesser Masticore to Krark-Clan Ironworks for a steady stream of colorless mana, it returns from the graveyard with a -1/-1 counter, but Mm'menon immediately counters that downside by placing a +1/+1 counter on it—causing the opposing counters to annihilate each other through state-based actions. This leaves the creature completely pristine and ready to be fed back into Krark-Clan Ironworks infinitely, generating boundless artifacts entering and leaving the battlefield alongside your massive mana pool.
