How it works

1. Activate Lithatog's first ability by sacrificing Lesser Masticore.
2. When Lesser Masticore dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it due to Curator Beastie.
3. Resolve the Lithatog ability, giving it +1/+1 until end of turn.
4. Repeat.

This elegant loop turns Lithatog into an infinite sacrifice outlet by feeding it Lesser Masticore over and over again. Normally, Lesser Masticore's persist ability would bring it back with a -1/-1 counter that eventually shuts the engine down, but Curator Beastie steps in with a crucial static boost, ensuring every returning artifact creature enters with two additional +1/+1 counters to instantly neutralize the counter-cancellation rules. As Lithatog cheerfully consumes the mechanical hound, you harvest an endless stream of death and sacrifice triggers while growing the devourer to titanic proportions.
