How it works

1. Activate Altar of Dementia by sacrificing Lesser Masticore.
2. When Lesser Masticore dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it due to Curator Beastie.
3. Resolve the Altar of Dementia ability, causing target player to mill cards equal to the sacrificed creature's power.
4. Repeat.

This clever loop turns Lesser Masticore into an endless ammunition source for Altar of Dementia, grinding through your opponent's library while generating infinite death and sacrifice triggers. The engine hums smoothly because Curator Beastie steps in with its passive ability to make colorless creatures enter with two extra +1/+1 counters, immediately neutralizing the -1/-1 counter that would otherwise permanently shut down the Masticore's persist ability. Each iteration mills cards equal to the Masticore's growing power and clears the way for whatever graveyard shenanigans you want to pull off next.
