How it works

1. Activate Umbral Collar Zealot by sacrificing Lesser Masticore.
2. When Lesser Masticore dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
3. When Lesser Masticore enters, Mm'menon triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Lesser Masticore.
4. Resolve the Umbral Collar Zealot ability.
5. Repeat.

This clever loop relies on the interaction between Lesser Masticore's persist ability and Mm'menon, Uthros Exile's triggered ability to continuously reset its counters. When Lesser Masticore is fed to Umbral Collar Zealot's sacrifice ability, it hits the graveyard and triggers persist, bringing it right back to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter. That return instantly sparks Mm'menon, Uthros Exile, whose trigger places a +1/+1 counter on the Masticore; because State-Based Actions simultaneously remove matching +1/+1 and -1/-1 counters, the Masticore is left completely clean and ready to be sacrificed to Umbral Collar Zealot all over again.
