How it works

1. Activate Goblin Bombardment by sacrificing Ashcloud Phoenix.
2. When Ashcloud Phoenix dies, its first ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield face-down.
3. Resolve the Goblin Bombardment ability, dealing 1 damage to any target.
4. Activate Goblin Bombardment by sacrificing Ashcloud Phoenix.
5. Yarus' second ability triggers, returning Ashcloud Phoenix from your graveyard to the battlefield face down, and then turning it face up.
6. Ashcloud Phoenix's second ability triggers, dealing 2 damage to each player.
7. Resolve the Goblin Bombardment ability, dealing 1 damage to any target.
8. Repeat.

This clever loop relies on overlapping triggers to repeatedly send your creature to the graveyard and back, turning Ashcloud Phoenix's own death triggers into a self-sustaining engine. By sacrificing the Phoenix to Goblin Bombardment, you trigger both its own resurrection ability and the recursive safety net provided by Yarus, Roar of the Old Gods. Because Yarus immediately returns the permanent face down and turns it face up, the Phoenix triggers its board-wide damage while resetting its state so Goblin Bombardment can finish the cycle anew for endless destruction.
