How it works

1. Cast Bill the Pony by paying .
2. When Bill the Pony enters the battlefield, it and Samwise trigger.
3. Resolve the Samwise trigger, creating a Food artifact token.
4. Resolve the Bill the Pony trigger, creating two Food artifact tokens.
5. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Bill the Pony, adding .
6. Activate Samwise by sacrificing three Foods, returning Bill the Pony to your hand from your graveyard.
7. Repeat.

This clever loop centers around Bill the Pony, which enters the battlefield to instantly populate your board with two Food tokens while simultaneously triggering Samwise Gamgee for a third. You then sacrifice Bill the Pony to Phyrexian Altar to generate the mana needed to recast it, while Samwise's ability lets you trade those three accumulated Food tokens to pull Bill right back out of your graveyard and into your hand.
