How it works

1. Activate Tortured Existence by paying and discarding a creature card, returning any other creature card from your graveyard to your hand.
2. Insidious Roots triggers, creating a 0/1 Plant creature token, then putting a +1/+1 counter on each Plant you control.
3. Activate the Plant by tapping it, adding .
4. Repeat.

This loop transforms the humble graveyard into an engine of continuous growth, fueled by the recycling power of Tortured Existence to constantly cycle creature cards back and forth from your hand. Each time a creature card leaves your graveyard, Insidious Roots triggers to produce a 0/1 Plant token while simultaneously growing your entire garden with +1/+1 counters. Those very same Plant tokens then tap for mana to pay for Tortured Existence's activation cost, creating a self-sustaining mana-and-marker loop. Meanwhile, Rising of the Day ensures your newly minted tokens have haste the moment they arrive, and its static buff gives your legendary creatures a bit of extra muscle while the engine spins endlessly.
