How it works

  1. Activate up to five lands by tapping them, adding at least 2U manaB manaB mana.
  2. Activate Tortured Existence by paying B mana and discarding Great Whale, targeting any other creature card in your graveyard.
  3. Hashaton triggers, causing you to pay 2U mana to create a token copy of Great Whale that is a 4/4 Zombie.
  4. When the Great Whale token enters the battlefield, it triggers, untapping up to seven lands.
  5. Resolve the Tortured Existence ability, returning the targeted creature from your graveyard to your hand.
  6. Activate Tortured Existence by paying B mana and discarding a creature card, targeting Great Whale.
  7. Hashaton triggers. Choose not to pay.
  8. Resolve the Tortured Existence ability, returning Great Whale from your graveyard to your hand.
  9. Repeat.
