How it works

1. Activate Tortured Existence by paying and discarding a creature card, returning another creature card from your graveyard to your hand.
2. Chalk Outline triggers, creating a creature token and a Clue token
3. Activate Umbral Collar Zealot by sacrificing the creature token
4. When the creature token dies, Pitiless Plunderer triggers, creating a Treasure token.

You can then feed those newly created tokens to Umbral Collar Zealot, which lets you surveil to set up future discards. Finally, the demise of your sacrificed creatures causes Pitiless Plunderer to generate a Treasure token every time, providing the exact black mana needed to keep Tortured Existence running indefinitely.
