How it works

1. Activate Bloodflow Connoisseur by sacrificing Pyreheart Wolf
2. When Pyreheart Wolf dies, its undying ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it.
3. Resolve the Bloodflow Connoisseur ability.
4. Activate Bloodflow Connoisseur by sacrificing Pyreheart Wolf
5. When Pyreheart Wolf dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
6. Pyreheart Wolf enters and dies as a state-based action due to having 0 toughness. Its undying ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it.
7. Resolve the Bloodflow Connoisseur ability from step 4.
8. Repeat from step 4.

This clever loop turns the back-and-forth transformation of Eirdu, Carrier of Dawn // Isilu, Carrier of Twilight into an infinite engine for sacrifice and graveyard triggers. While the front face gives your creature spells convoke, it is the backside, Isilu, Carrier of Twilight, that provides the crucial static ability granting your other nontoken creatures persist. By cycling Pyreheart Wolf back and forth between its undying and persist triggers—utilizing its own undying ability alongside the persist bestowed by Isilu—you can continually feed it to Bloodflow Connoisseur. Every iteration grows the Connoisseur with infinite +1/+1 counters while generating endless death triggers, sacrifices, and enters-the-battlefield events.
