How it works

1. Cast Basking Broodscale by paying 1, which enters with a +1/+1 counter on it due to Arwen.
2. Basking Broodscale triggers, creating a 0/1 Eldrazi Spawn creature token that enters with a +1/+1 counter on it due to Arwen.
3. Activate the Eldrazi Spawn by sacrificing it, adding C.
4. When the Eldrazi Spawn dies, Reluctant Role Model's second ability triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Basking Broodscale.
5. Repeat from step 2.

This clever synergy transforms a simple sacrifice loop into an infinite engine, powered entirely by how counters interact with our board state. Arwen, Weaver of Hope sets the stage by ensuring all our creatures enter the battlefield with additional +1/+1 counters, allowing Basking Broodscale to immediately trigger its ability to spawn an Eldrazi token whenever counters arrive. That token also enters with a counter from Arwen, and when you sacrifice it for colorless mana, Reluctant Role Model steps in to catch its departing counters and loop them right back onto Basking Broodscale.
