How it works

  1. Activate Phyrexian Altar twice by sacrificing the Wurm tokens, adding B manaB mana.
  2. Activate Chainer by paying B manaB manaB mana and 3 life, putting Wurmcoil Engine from your graveyard onto the battlefield.
  3. When Wurmcoil Engine enters the battlefield, Ajani's Welcome triggers, causing you to gain 1 life.
  4. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Wurmcoil Engine, adding B mana.
  5. When Wurmcoil Engine dies, it triggers, creating two 3/3 Wurm artifact creature tokens.
  6. When the Wurms enter the battlefield, Ajani's Welcome triggers twice, causing you to gain 2 life.
  7. Activate Phyrexian Altar twice by sacrificing the Wurms, adding B manaB mana.
  8. Repeat.
