How it works

1. Activate Phyrexian Altar twice by sacrificing the Wurm tokens, adding .
2. Activate Chainer by paying and 3 life, putting Wurmcoil Engine from your graveyard onto the battlefield.
3. When Wurmcoil Engine enters the battlefield, Auriok Champion triggers, causing you to gain 1 life.
4. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Wurmcoil Engine, adding .
5. When Wurmcoil Engine dies, it triggers, creating two 3/3 Wurm artifact creature tokens.
6. When the Wurms enter the battlefield, Auriok Champion triggers twice, causing you to gain 2 life.
7. Activate Phyrexian Altar twice by sacrificing the Wurms, adding .
8. Repeat.

This loop relies on Chainer, Dementia Master transforming Wurmcoil Engine into a black Nightmare so it can be repeatedly resurrected from the graveyard for three black mana and 3 life. When you sacrifice Wurmcoil Engine to Phyrexian Altar, it splits into two Wurm tokens that feed the Altar for the mana needed to fuel Chainer's ability once again. Meanwhile, Auriok Champion sits safely on the battlefield, leveraging its protection from black to continuously trigger and offset the life payments demanded by Chainer, creating a self-sustaining engine of infinite sacrifices, triggers, and lifegain.
