How it works

1. Activate Phyrexian Altar twice by sacrificing the Wurm tokens, adding .
2. Activate Chainer by paying and 3 life, putting Wurmcoil Engine from your graveyard onto the battlefield.
3. When Wurmcoil Engine enters the battlefield, Haliya triggers, causing you to gain 1 life.
4. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Wurmcoil Engine, adding .
5. When Wurmcoil Engine dies, it triggers, creating two 3/3 Wurm artifact creature tokens.
6. When the Wurms enter the battlefield, Haliya triggers twice, causing you to gain 2 life.
7. Activate Phyrexian Altar twice by sacrificing the Wurms, adding .
8. Repeat.

This loop turns Chainer, Dementia Master into a terrifying engine of recycling by using Phyrexian Altar to constantly cash in our creations for the black mana needed to recast them. Wurmcoil Engine provides a wonderful paradox in death: when it hits the graveyard, it leaves behind two smaller tokens that graciously feed the Altar right back into Chainer's reanimation cost. Meanwhile, Haliya, Guided by Light sits quietly on the board converting every single one of those entering artifacts and creatures into a steady stream of life.
