How it works

1. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing another creature, adding one mana of any color.
2. When the creature dies as an enchantment due to Enchanted Evening, Knight of Doves triggers, creating a 1/1 Bird creature token.
3. Repeat.

This loop is a brilliant demonstration of permanent-type transformation working hand-in-hand with sacrifice engines, turning every creature into a self-sustaining resource. With Enchanted Evening turning every permanent on the battlefield into an enchantment alongside its other types, any creature you sacrifice to Phyrexian Altar immediately dies as an enchantment as well as a creature. That crucial state change is what arms Knight of Doves, causing its ability to trigger every single time a sacrifice occurs and immediately replacing your fallen creature with a brand-new 1/1 white Bird. You can then feed that newly minted Bird right back into Phyrexian Altar for mana, creating an endless, closed-loop engine that generates infinite colored mana alongside an unrestricted storm of deaths, enters-the-battlefield, and sacrifice triggers.
