How it works

1. Activate Altar of Dementia by sacrificing another creature.
2. When the creature dies as an enchantment due to Enchanted Evening, Knight of Doves triggers, creating a 1/1 Bird creature token.
3. Resolve the Altar of Dementia ability, causing target player to mill cards equal to the sacrificed creature's power.
4. Repeat.

This clever loop turns the entire battlefield into a recursive engine thanks to Enchanted Evening, which blankets every permanent in the game with the enchantment type. With that global transformation in place, sacrificing any creature to Altar of Dementia sends it straight to the graveyard as an enchantment, which instantly satisfies Knight of Doves' trigger condition. That trigger replaces your sacrificed asset with a fresh 1/1 Bird creature token ready to feed back into Altar of Dementia, letting you mill out any opponent's entire library one creature at a time.
