How it works

1. Cast Fake Your Own Death by paying 1, targeting any creature.
2. Holding priority, cast Dualcaster Mage by paying 1.
3. When Dualcaster Mage enters the battlefield, it triggers, copying Fake Your Own Death, targeting Dualcaster Mage.
4. Resolve the copy of Fake Your Own Death.
5. Holding priority, activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Dualcaster Mage, adding one mana of any color.
6. When Dualcaster Mage dies, it triggers, returning itself from your graveyard to the battlefield and creating a Treasure token.
7. Repeat from step 3.

This clever loop turns a simple spell copy into an infinite engine by leveraging Dualcaster Mage's entry trigger to perpetually reapply its own protection. When you cast Fake Your Own Death on a creature and respond by flashing in Dualcaster Mage, the wizard copies the spell to target itself, granting a crucial revival safety net. Once the Mage is sacrificed to Phyrexian Altar for mana, its own death trigger brings it right back to the battlefield while spitting out a Treasure token. By looping this sequence, you generate infinite colored mana and an endless supply of artifact and creature triggers to overwhelm your opponents.
