How it works
- Cast Exhume by paying its mana cost
- Holding priority, cast Dualcaster Mage by paying its mana cost.
- When Dualcaster Mage enters, it triggers, targeting Exhume.
- Holding priority, activate Shilgengar by sacrificing Dualcaster Mage.
- Resolve the Dualcaster Mage trigger, copying Exhume
- Resolve the Exhume copy, returning Dualcaster Mage from your graveyard to the battlefield.
- Repeat from step 3.
This loop relies on a clever dance between Exhume and Dualcaster Mage to perpetually recur the Mage while spinning up your engine. As Dualcaster Mage enters the stack, Shilgengar, Sire of Famine steps in to sacrifice it for Blood tokens, clearing the way for the copied Exhume to pull Dualcaster Mage right back out of the graveyard to do it all over again.
