How it works

1. Cast Persist by paying its mana cost, targeting any applicable target.
2. Holding priority, cast Dualcaster Mage by paying its mana cost.
3. When Dualcaster Mage enters, it triggers, targeting Persist.
4. Holding priority, activate Goblin Bombardment by sacrificing Dualcaster Mage.
5. Resolve the Dualcaster Mage trigger, copying Persist, with the copy targeting Dualcaster Mage
6. Resolve the Persist copy, returning Dualcaster Mage from your graveyard to the battlefield.
7. Repeat from step 3.

This clever loop turns a simple recursion spell into a lethal engine by using Dualcaster Mage to perpetually copy Persist, ensuring the Mage can keep pulling itself back from the graveyard. Each time Dualcaster Mage enters the battlefield, its triggered ability targets the original Persist while you sacrifice it to Goblin Bombardment to deal a point of damage. Because Persist returns the creature with a -1/-1 counter, sacrificing it is the only way to reset the loop, and Goblin Bombardment happily provides that sacrifice outlet while turning your infinite iterations into an unstoppable stream of damage.
