How it works
Cast Presumed Dead by paying its mana cost.
Holding priority, cast Dualcaster Mage by paying its mana cost.
When Dualcaster Mage enters, it triggers, copying Presumed Dead, with the copy targeting Dualcaster Mage.
Resolve the copy of Presumed Dead.
Holding priority, activate Carrion Feeder by sacrificing Dualcaster Mage.
When Dualcaster Mage dies, it triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield.
Repeat from step 3.
Resolve all Carrion Feeder abilities from step 5.
This clever loop turns a modest combat trick into an engine of endless resurrection by exploiting the way Dualcaster Mage's entry trigger interacts with the stack. By casting Presumed Dead first and responding with Dualcaster Mage, you use the wizard's ability to copy the spell right back onto itself, granting it that crucial delayed return-from-graveyard trigger. From there, Carrion Feeder serves as the perfect sacrificial outlet to send Dualcaster Mage to the graveyard, where its new effect immediately brings it back to the battlefield to repeat the entire process and endlessly grow the Carrion Feeder with +1/+1 counters.
