How it works

1. Cast Ascend from Avernus by paying 3
2. Holding priority, cast Dualcaster Mage by paying its mana cost.
3. When Dualcaster Mage enters, it triggers, targeting Ascend from Avernus.
4. Holding priority, activate Bartolomé del Presidio by sacrificing Dualcaster Mage.
5. Resolve the Dualcaster Mage trigger, copying Ascend from Avernus
6. Resolve the Ascend from Avernus copy, returning Dualcaster Mage from your graveyard to the battlefield.
7. Repeat from step 3.

This ingenious loop relies on a clever stacking of triggers to endlessly recur your graveyard right onto the battlefield. By casting Ascend from Avernus, you set the stage, allowing Dualcaster Mage to swoop in with its flash and copy the spell upon entry. Before that copy resolves, you use Bartolomé del Presidio to eagerly sacrifice Dualcaster Mage, sending it safely back to the graveyard just in time for the resolving Ascend copy to bring it right back alongside any other fallen allies. This cycle can then be repeated indefinitely, feeding Bartolomé del Presidio endless +1/+1 counters while generating boundless sacrifices and entries.
