Feign Death

How it works

1. Cast Feign Death by paying its mana cost.
2. Holding priority, cast Dualcaster Mage by paying its mana cost.
3. When Dualcaster Mage enters, it triggers, copying Feign Death, with the copy targeting Dualcaster Mage.
4. Resolve the copy of Feign Death.
5. Holding priority, activate Thermopod by sacrificing Dualcaster Mage.
6. When Dualcaster Mage dies, it triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield.
7. Repeat from step 3.

This loop sets up an infinitely recurring engine by turning Dualcaster Mage into a self-sustaining mana and trigger generator. By casting Feign Death and responding with Dualcaster Mage, the Mage's entry trigger copies the spell to target itself, ensuring it will always return from the graveyard whenever it hits the bin. Once Thermopod is in play, you can freely sacrifice the Mage for red mana to fuel future casts or generate an infinite storm of creature deaths, enters-the-battlefield events, and magecraft triggers.
