How it works

1. Cast Feign Death by paying its mana cost.
2. Holding priority, cast Dualcaster Mage by paying its mana cost.
3. When Dualcaster Mage enters, it triggers, copying Feign Death, with the copy targeting Dualcaster Mage.
4. Resolve the copy of Feign Death.
5. Holding priority, activate Altar of Dementia by sacrificing Dualcaster Mage.
6. When Dualcaster Mage dies, it triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield.
7. Repeat from step 3.
8. Resolve all Altar of Dementia abilities from step 5.

This clever loop is ignited when you cast Feign Death followed by Dualcaster Mage, whose entry trigger targets the instant with a copy that loops right back onto the Mage itself. Once this self-sustaining protection is established, Altar of Dementia steps in to convert your infinite sacrifices into an endless stream of targeted mill. Because Dualcaster Mage continually returns to the battlefield with a fresh +1/+1 counter ready to be sacrificed anew, you can repeat this cycle indefinitely until every opponent's library has vanished into thin air.
